CAGLIARI: THE HISTORICAL QUARTER OF CASTELLO

Every italian chief town has a long history and Cagliari makes no exception. Founded as a colony named “Castrum Callaretani” by pisan settlers, Castello, the historic center of Cagliari has a long and fascinating hisotry in everyone of his places and monuments. As Cagliari’s citizen and tour guide, I will be proud and happy to tell it in this wonderful tour which mixes history, beauty and culture with wonderful sightseeing of Cagliari. On this tour we will be able to admire the beautiful cathedral of Santa Maria and Cecilia and enter the Palazzo Viceregio, which housed the Savoy family exiled from Piedmont, effectively becoming their new royal palace, from 1799 to 1814; all of this will end with a visit to the beautiful Bastion of San Remy. After the visit, you will back to home with the lovely memory of one of the most beautiful historic center of the whole Italy.
